10 Places I'd Love To Visit

Source
Over these past few weeks, I've made it very clear that my feet are stupidly itchy and I'm so ready to go travelling again. I'll see tweets from people that are booking flights or are on holiday, which results in me getting sucked into travel price comparison sites for at least an hour. I'm the type of person that can't sit still for too long, and I'd much rather be out and about than sat at home, so the big wide world is calling me! Instead of bottling all these feelings up, I thought I'd share a list of some of the places I'd love to visit, in the hopes that it will calm my travelbug down a little bit.

1. Krakow, Poland
I'm a little bit of a history nerd and one of my favourite things to learn about is World War II. Because of that, I'd absolutely love to visit Krakow to experience some of the history first-hand. I've also heard that it's ridiculously cheap to travel to Poland, which would suit my budget perfectly. This is definitely the place that I'm itching to travel to the most, so who knows, maybe I'll find a cheap flight and book it on a whim!

2. Nice, France
I've actually been to Nice before, but I didn't get to spend much time there. thanks to my feet being ripped apart by my sandals. I'm actually not one for hot weather (my vampire skin burns as soon as the sun hits it), but I'd really love to explore this city a bit more and dip my toes in the blue Mediterranean sea. I'll just have to pack a heck of a lot of sun cream!

 3. Cape Town, South Africa
South Africa is pretty high up on my priority list as it's where my boyfriend was born and raised for 9 years of his life, so it'd be amazing to visit his home country. While I would absolutely love to go to Cape Town, there are so many other areas of South Africa that I know I'd like to see, as well as take a trip to the Kruger National Park. Again, much like Nice, I realise the weather will be piping hot, so I think I'd have to go during their winter, otherwise I will turn into a crisp.

4. Tokyo, Japan
I'm a city girl through-and-through, so to visit the hustling and bustling city of Tokyo is such a dream of mine. I really like Japanese culture and to see it in it's own country would be amazing. I'd also really love to visit the Studio Ghibli Museum because I am such a huge fan of the films (plus, I just read that they're opening a food exhibition all about the meals from the films. It sounds right up my street!)

5. Santorini, Greece
If I'm not in a city, I love to be by the sea. I just feel so calm when I'm by the water, hearing the waves and the gulls, so a place I'd love to visit is Santorini. This island's two principal towns are built into the cliffsides, over-looking the gorgeous blue ocean and I can't help but feel a pang of want whenever I see a photo of the place. It just looks so idyllic and beautiful!

6. Dublin, Ireland
This is another place that I think I'd be able to get to without spending too much money, but I bet that the price of food and drinks is extortionate. That being said, I blooming love Ireland and Irish people, so I'd feel right at home in this city. I visited Dublin quite a while ago, but I can't really remember much of the trip, so I'd love to go and experience it again.

7. Brighton, England
I would absolutely love to go and spend a weekend in Brighton! The only problem is that it is at the opposite end of the country to my town, and would take over 6 hours to get there by car. Granted, the train would probably be quicker, but it's still such a long journey. I've heard so many great things about Brighton though, so I'd love to go and take a look for myself.

8. Amalfi Coast, Italy
This is another place that I've been to, but can't remember all too well. The only thing I remember from this trip was eating our breakfast on the hotel roof whilst the church bells rang just across the street (which is a pretty nice memory, if you ask me). But just look at how stunning the place is! It's got everything you'd want in a holiday - the sea, the sun, a quaint town, a beach and hills to climb if you're the sporty type. I definitely want to go back here!

9. The Rocky Mountains, Canada
Again, I'd be lying if I said this was somewhere I hadn't been before, but this was my most favourite and treasured holiday. What I mean by 'The Rocky Mountains' is taking a trip alongside the mountains, stopping in places like Calgary, Banff and Jasper to take in the sights. We did this in a little campervan for almost a month and I'd quite happily do it again!
10. Koh Phi Phi, Thailand
I feel like this is somewhere that all students go (seriously, how do students afford to go here? Tell me your secrets), but it looks like such a gorgeous place, along with Phuket. Something I'd love to do at some point in my life is go island-hopping around Thailand and maybe even visit Singapore and Bali on the way. I will definitely need that sun cream though!

So that's a round-up of some places that I'm dying to visit. I'm certain there are plenty more that I didn't mention, but right now, these are the locations that are at the forefront of my mind whenever I see people talking about travelling. Have you been to any of these places or do you fancy going to any of them?

    1. I'm in exactly the same boat - I've got to do a heck of a lot of saving before I can think about going there! Thanks for the comment, Sam x

  2. I was nodding along as I read this - so many gorgeous places to visit. I think Scotland is particularly high on my list - well after England, but I'm visiting in November, so I don't think that counts. I am so excited to visit Liverpool and embrace all things Beatles! x
