What is Tabitha Isobel?
Tabitha Isobel is a small business founded by Tabi back in 2022. And while this may be a small business, her ambitions for this skin clinic in Middlesbrough certainly aren’t! What first began as a love for skincare has now developed into a real passion with Tabi creating regular helpful content on social media, offering training and even writing a book. She’s a total expert and while she’s a specialist in transforming acne-prone skin, she can also help with signs of ageing, dullness, dryness and so much more. She also became a Skin Specialist Of The Year Finalist, so you can be certain that she knows her stuff!

You will find Tabitha Isobel at Skinfinity Aesthetics on Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough (224 Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough, TS1 3QW). If you need to park, you’ll find spaces on Amber Street or outside the Dorman Museum.
My first impressions and the initial consultation
When you first book with Tabitha Isobel, you’ll have an initial consultation before your treatment. This will help Tabi figure exactly what your skin needs to give you the results you want. I went along for my first Youthful Goddess Facial appointment and was immediately made to feel welcome. Tabi was waiting for me in the reception area of the beautifully pink Skinifinity and I instantly felt at ease. She was warm, friendly and so lovely!
Tabi’s room for Tabitha Isobel is up on the top floor, so you get some steps in walking up the stairs and once you head through the door, it’s like entering a peaceful oasis. Think spa music, fairy lights and soft pinks. It’s so inviting and so calming – everything you could possibly want from a relaxation space.
My initial consultation was brilliant and thorough. I told Tabi that I was looking to get my skin wedding-ready, and that my main concerns were my dry forehead and my large nose pores. I was reassured that there were steps in the Youthful Goddess Facial that are perfect for tackling those concerns, so I knew I was in the right place for my needs. Tabi was professional throughout and talked about the process in a way that made sense. I think long ingredient names and all the scientifics can be a bit daunting (or at least they are for me!), so I really appreciated that she made it easy for me to understand, whilst still demonstrating her knowledge.
Tabi also gives all of her clients some spring water and a chocolate, just because!
What’s the Youthful Goddess Facial?
As I mentioned, my appointment was for the Youthful Goddess Facial. This treatment is perfect for helping to reduce wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, pigmentation and for hydrating the skin, leaving you with bright rejuvenation. The steps include:

- Dermaplaning

- Hydrating face mask
- Ice globe facial massage

- Deep moisture

Absolutely no stone is left unturned with this facial. It covers a lot of bases, some I’d never even heard of before, but Tabi explained every step, so I knew I’d get the results I wanted.

My review of my Tabitha Isobel facial
Indulging myself in a proper facial isn’t something I do often. Sure, I love a facial when I visit a spa, but that’s very different to facials that are designed to give you long lasting results. With that in mind, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I ended up loving the whole experience.
For starters, the bed is incredibly comfortable and curved in such a way that you feel as if you’re floating. Tabi also offered me a blanket, but I knew for a fact that I’d fall straight to sleep if I had any sort of cover on. Turns out, I didn’t need a blanket to make me feel sleepy because I ended up being so relaxed that I was twitching and forcing myself to stay awake! The combination of the spa music, having my eyes closed, the comfy bed and how gentle Tabi was turned out to be the perfect sleeping potion.
There are so many steps to this facial, so it’s really hard to pick out my favourite parts. The ice globe face massage is definitely a stand out, though. At the point where Tabi reaches for the globes, lots of products have been applied and your skin might start to feel warm. So when the ice touches the skin and massages across the cheeks and up to the forehead, it’s the most amazing sensation. Not only does it feel amazing, it’s also fantastic for the skin too. The ice globes reduce inflammation, puffiness and redness, and tighten the skin.
The dermaplaning is also a part of the Youthful Goddess Facial that I really enjoyed. It’s one of those things that feels really nice – the teeny soft scratches as the surgical scalpel scrapes off the dead skin and peach fuzz – but I love that you can see the results of it instantly. Straight away, the skin is smoother and brighter, and super glowy because the products are able to absorb better. I’ve also got to give an honourable mention to the Dermalux LED phototherapy because it feels like super high tech science with lights!
After the facial, I had a final consultation with Tabi where she gave me a review of my skin. Of course, she picked up on the things that I had concerns about – my pesky forehead for one! But she also picked up on other things that I had no idea about, like pigmentation. She advised me of ingredients I should be looking out for and products that I should think about incorporating. She also put together a bespoke plan of medical-grade products through GetHarley, which I have bought and incorporated into my daily routine to keep the benefits going.
What were the results?
After my first facial with Tabitha Isobel in Middlesbrough, I’m pleased to say that I was utterly glowing. After an hour and a half of lying down, I was ready for a nap, but my skin was looking spectacular. I honestly don’t think my skin has ever looked that good – so bright and dewy. And not only that, but I was feeling so bright in myself too. I’ve found the whole process of wedding planning to be really stressful and the facial was just what I needed to relax.
Even now, less than a week after my facial, I’m still enjoying the benefits. My forehead is so smooth with no sandpapery-ness in sight. I feel hydrated and awake, and I’m hoping that those feelings stick around now that I’ve incorporated Tabi’s recommended products into my routine. I also have five more sessions at Tabitha Isobel in the lead up to my wedding, so I’ll be keeping Instagram updated with how I’m getting on.
