Stockton Calling – Sat 4 – Stockton Calling is a cross-town festival pulsating through the heart of various venues within Stockton town centre. We’ve hosted sets from Circa Waves, Self Esteem, Reytons, Sam Fender, and Blossoms in recent years. Barklife Dog Social at Play Middlesbrough – Sun 5 – Bring your dogs for a day at the pub! Family friendly and free entry. From 12pm to 4pm.
Waves and Witchcraft Coastal Heritage Tour in Redcar with Hedge Witchery – Thurs 16 – Join me on a slow paced walking heritage tour of Redcar. We take in the local folklore and superstition of this stunning part of the North East coastline before heading up the Victorian streets to discover more about the history of this coastal town and its beliefs and its local community of witches.
World Heritage Celebration Day at Hopetown Darlington (FREE) – Sat 18 – Come together with friends, neighbours, and family to celebrate World Heritage Day with a joyful day of music, art, and performance. In partnership with Taste of Africa and Creative Darlington, this community celebration will bring people together through live musicians, artists, Zulu dancers, African drummers, a saxophonist, and other performers sharing stories, cultures, and creativity from around the world.
Record Store Day at Regency Records – Sat 18 – After the success of last year’s event, we can’t wait for Record Store Day 2026!
Darlington K-Pop Trail – Sat 18 – Themed activities including meet & greets, face painters, cosplayers, selfie props and collectable K-Pop merch trail items.
Tees Valley Wildlife Trust Walk at Bowesfield Reserve – Sat 25 – Join experts from Cleveland Naturalists’ Club and Tees Valley Wildlife Trust for a relaxed natural history walk as part of City Nature Challenge 2026. Explore Bowesfield Nature Reserve, discovering the wildlife that lives here and learn how to identify a range of species. Your sightings will help contribute to local wildlife records and be part of the global City Nature Challenge effort to document nature in our towns and cities.
Easter Litter Pick at the Tees Barrage – head to the Tees Barrage over the Easter weekend to help keep it tidy. Simply complete a litter pick on your walk and receive a complimentary drink of your choice from the San Seb Coffee van! They supply the litter pickers and bags. You just need to turn up and do a litter pick.

The Storytellers Stockton Launch – Thurs 2 to Sat 4 – Celebrate the reopening of The Storytellers! Thurs: The Big Music Quiz. Fri: £1 burgers all day and night! Eaglescliffe Easter Beer Festival – Fri 3 to Sun 5 – The Three Brothers team is thrilled to announce the return of Eaglescliffe Beer Festival this Easter weekend at Egglescliffe Community Centre! Join us for an incredible selection of cask and keg beers, lagers, ciders, artisan spirits, wine, prosecco, and soft drinks. Each day will feature a street food vendor, live music every night, and our charity pub quiz on Sunday! Tickets are just £4 at the door, with 25% of proceeds going directly to charity. Plus, you’ll take home a festival cup as a keepsake!
Soosh Sushi School at Earthbeat Centre Saltburn – Sat 4 – Try your hand at making your very own sushi. Led by expert James, you’ll be shown how to do various rolls with a plethora of ingredients. Parmo Club Special at Base Pizzeria – Sun 19 – Our next Parmo Club Sunday will be on 19th April and will run throughout the day from noon until 7:30pm. We have a few new offerings for you this time so keep an eye out for the menu coming later this evening – rest assured, all the firm favorites will be there as before.
A Very English Affair Wine Tasting at Fourteen Drops Market Hall – Fri 24 – To celebrate St George’s Day, we’re doing what we do best, sharing the English bottles we love! Forget warm beer stereotypes. English wine is crisp, confident, and quietly world-class. From elegant traditional method sparkling wines to fresh, characterful still whites and surprisingly good reds, we’ll be pouring a line-up that proves England knows exactly what it’s doing in the vineyard.

Pastry & Pottery at Koselig Bakeri, Guisborough – Fri 3 – April’s creative pottery evening is here to welcome all things Spring! For Good Friday, we will have a variety of pots for you to pick from and decorate. Plus your ticket price includes a baked a goodie and drink of your choice (including our yummy specials). Your pot will be taken back to the studio where it will be fired and glazed, and delivered back to the bakery for the following week.
Silver Ring/Stacking Rings Workshop at Creative Village CIC – Thurs 16 – In this workshop you will learn silversmithing techniques including texturing metal, shaping and forming, measuring, soldering, polishing and finishing to make the perfect silver ring(s). If you are making the ring(s) for yourself there will be ring sizers to measure your finger with in the session, if the ring is for someone else please find out their ring size before the session.
Botanical Mono Printing with Hey Ho Print Co at Crathorne Reading Room – Sat 18 – This is a wonderful Spring workshop, creating prints from the new flora around us. You will go home with a selection of paper prints that work as a collection or individually. Perfect for cards and gifts. Suitable for beginners.
Silver Clay Pendant or Earrings Workshop at Westgate Pottery – Sat 18 – Make your very own stamped silver clay pendant or earrings in this beginner-friendly workshop. Cake, coffee and all materials provided.
3D Polymer Clay Letters Workshop at Creative Village CIC – Tues 21 – Join us to make 3D letters out of polymer clay & make them into keyrings. Polymer clay comes in a rainbow of colours, you can choose to block colour or marble colours together to create your 3D letter. Perfect for your car keys or to give as gifts (you can make more than one!).
Shrek Sip & Paint at Whimsickal, Darlington – Thurs 23 – What are you doing in my swamp? Painting a Shrek portrait, of course! Join Whimsickal for a quirky sip and paint for £18pp, including all painting supplies and two Shrek-themed cocktails.
Flamingo Sip & Paint with Palette & Pop at The Rings Community Hub – Sat 25 – Add a pop of colour and a bit of fun to your evening with our Flamingo Sip & Paint. Mono Screen Printing with Hey Ho Print Co at Crathorne Reading Room – Sat 25 – Our Mono Screen Printing workshop is a wonderful taster session introducing you to the basics of screen printing with something extra fun thrown in. Create your small edition of one off mono prints using multiple colours brushed directly onto the screen. The session is £40 per person and everything is provided. Beginners welcome.

Kids’ Star Show at Wynyard Planetarium & Observatory – Fri 3 – Got a little space explorer at home? This one’s for them… and the big kids too. Join us at Teesside Astronomical Science Center for a fun, exciting, and hands-on Kids Star Show inside the dome at Wynyard Planetarium and Observatory! £6 per adult, £4 per child.
Easter Egg Hunt at National Trust Ormesby Hall – Fri 3 to Sun 19 – Make your way along the trail and find activities for the whole family. Each trail station has a different activity, including the much loved welly wanging, wheelbarrow racing and egg and spoon race. Prices are £3.00 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy or vegan and Free From* chocolate egg. (Normal admission charges also apply, in addition to the Easter trail cost).
Easter Party with the Easter Bunny at STACK Middlesbrough – Sat 4 – An egg’citing afternoon of themed characters, colouring, dancing and a special visit from the Easter Bunny! 12-1:30pm, suitable for children aged 2-7 years old. Tickets are required for children aged 0-12 years old. £3 each.
Easter Trail and Crafts in Albert Park (FREE) – Sat 4 – Can you find the giant eggs around the park and mark their locations on a special map? Maps available The Heart Cafe CiC next to the Albert Park Visitors Centre, with completed maps returned to the centre to receive a trail prize. Tees Cottage Pumping Station Easter Opening – Sun 5 and Mon 6 – Come and explore our amazing Victorian waterworks, see the mighty gas engine & beam engine running, and enjoy a brilliant family day out. From heritage machinery to riverside walks next door, there’s something for everyone. Adults: £5.00, concessions: £4.00, under 16s: free, when accompanied by an adult.
Easter Extravagaza Family Fun Day at Hopetown Darlington (FREE) – Mon 6 – Join us for a magical, family‑friendly Easter adventure bursting with activities, entertainment, and special guests. Egg Jarping at Land of Iron – Mon 6 – Come down for a day of friendly competition, celebrating an old North Eastern tradition! Participate in an Egg Parade (11am-12pm) using eggs that you’ve decorated before competing for the Land of Jarping championship (12:30-1:30pm)! Children must be supervised by a responsible adult over the age of 18. £3 per child or £1 per child if you bring your own hard-boiled egg, accompanying adults go free. Museum ticket also required.
Easter Bunny Pizza Class at Cherry Hill Garden Centre – Tues 7 and Wed 15 – This Easter, little pizza lovers can roll, squish, stretch and create their very own adorable bunny-shaped pizza. It’s hands-on, creative and packed with tasty fun from start to finish!
Wildlife Watching with Dan Rouse at Stockton Central Library (FREE) – Wed 8 – Get ready for an adventure into the natural world! Join acclaimed author, presenter, wildlife conservationist, and ornithologist Dan Rouse to explore her latest release, The Children’s Book of Wildlife Watching. This vibrant and informative guide is brimming with activities and expert tips to help children aged 7+ discover, identify, and truly understand the amazing wildlife in your backyards and beyond. Free, but booking is essential.
Dinosaur Discovery Day at Kirkleatham Museum – Thurs 9, Wed 15, Sat 18 and Sun 19 – Calling all fearless fossil hunters, dino-spotters, and prehistoric explorers – Mr Bones is back and he’s bringing the Cretaceous period with him! Join us for an unmissable drop-in discovery days, packed with hands-on fun and real science. Get closer than ever before to creatures that ruled the land and sea millions of years ago. No need to book, just drop in! From 10am-3pm and included with museum admission.
Wizard of Oz: Easter Panto at The Majestic Darlington – Fri 10 – Prepare for a spectacular, laugh-out-loud production, packed with music, mischief, and all the traditional pantomime fun you love! So join us down the Yellow Brick Road as we embark on an unforgettable trip over the rainbow!
Mad Hatter & White Rabbit Party at Redcar Library – Mon 13 – Join us for an interactive Mad Hatter & White Rabbit show with Street Rat Theatre. We will be taking over Loftus Library to have a hopping good time! There’s lots of fun, stories and games to be a part of. From 3-4pm. £5 per child, booking is essential.

April Fool’s Day – Wed 1 – remember, pranks are only allowed before 12pm!
National Burrito Day – Fri 3 – indulge in a burrito at Casa Del Alma or Blue Valentines.
Easter Sunday – Sun 5 – the perfect excuse to eat as many chocolate eggs as possible.
National Pet Day – Sat 11 – treat your furry friend to something new. Check out Wags & Whiskers in Stockton or Holly’s Doggy Deli in Darlington.
World Art Day – Wed 15 – visit a local art gallery.
Earth Day – Wed 22 – spend time outdoors or even better, spend time making outdoor spaces better. Clean up the local beach, put out bird food, plant some bug-friendly flowers or have a walk at the park.
St George’s Day – Thurs 23 – take a look to see if any classically English activities are happening nearby, like Morris dancing or a live battle re-enactment. Or simply wear a red rose.
